Common questions

Is the game free?

Yes, to download and to try: your first 3 shows against the computer are free. Then a one-time purchase unlocks the full show. Playing online is always free. No ads, no subscription.

I bought the full show. How do I get it on my new phone?

Sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID, open the game, tap the gear for Settings, then Restore Purchase. Family Sharing works too. Buying Music Trivia Mayhem doesn't unlock Double Take (or the other way around): each game is its own purchase.

How do I play a friend online?

Tap Play Online, then Private Game. You'll get a 4-letter code. Your friend taps Play Online, types the code, and taps Join. Or tap Quick Match to play whoever is waiting.

Why do I need a username to play online?

So everyone you play knows it's really you. Sign in with Apple (no password to make) and pick a username nobody else has. It's the same account and username as Richard Cheeseburger's Double Take™, so if you already have one, it comes right in. You can change it once; then it's locked for good.

How do I answer?

Pick a clue, wait for it to be read, then tap BUZZ! and pick the right question from four. In Final Mayhem you type your answer, and it has to be phrased as a question ("Who is…?", "What is…?"). A close spelling still counts.

What is It's All You?

A clue hidden somewhere on the board: one in Round 1, two in Round 2. Whoever finds it wagers up to all their money (or the round's top value, if that's more) and answers it alone.

Will I see the same questions again?

Not until you've had them all. The game keeps track of every question and category you've played, on your account, so a new phone picks up where you left off.

How long do I stay champion?

Until you lose. Every two wins in a row moves you up a level, and the board gets tougher.

Is the money real?

No. Money and scores are all make-believe. It's all for fun.

I can't hear anything.

Turn up your device's volume, and check the music, sound effects and voices in Settings (the gear). The game plays sound even with the silent switch on.

I think an answer is wrong.

Every question is checked against its source, but music history is big. Email us the category and the clue, and we'll look into it.

How do I delete my account?

Open Profile and tap Delete Account. Your account, username and online record are deleted from our server, and the username is retired. You can also email us to ask. See our privacy policy for what we keep and why.
